What deposit is required before a reservation is recognized?
Sometimes people think that just calling or sending an e-mail suffices as a reservation; however, a deposit of $250.00 per person is required before a reservation is recognized.
Return to TopNo. We’re not set up as a credit card vendor. All year long we’re a group tour company, so those we deal with have always paid us by check; thus, we have never become a credit card vendor. In over 20 years of business, we’ve only had a problem once or twice.
Return to TopWhat is your Cancellation & Refund policy?
After a reservation is made, with a $250.00 deposit per person, and you need to cancel your tour, a refund, minus $100.00 per person, will be returned to you up until November 15. After November 15, NO refund whatsoever will be given!
Return to TopDo you give or allow a discount for children?
Yes! However, it does depend on the age of the child. Those who are ages 4 – 11 and haven’t had their 12th birthday, we do allow a discount. But check with us for details on this one...
Return to TopSince you’re a group tour company, and we’re just a small party of one, two, or three people, can we fit into your tour programs?
Yes! All year long we’re a group tour company; however, we’ve learned how to handle just one, two or three people in our Rose Bowl Parade tour package program. You’ll fit right in with everyone else and have a great and VERY memorable time!! You’ll probably make many new friends and possibly meet others from your home state, too.
Return to TopJust where are your “reserved” grandstand seats located?
Our reserved grandstand seats for the past 8+ years have been at the first 1/2 mile of the parade route. We are in a supermarket parking lot on the south side of Colorado Blvd., with the sun at our backs. Our bleacher is open on all sides, and the portable bathrooms are just under the grandstand itself. We park in the same parking lot as the grandstand, so not too much walking is involved.
Return to TopWhat about handicapped facilities at the Parade?
The City of Pasadena, along with the Tournament of Roses Association, are working together to make sure that everyone gets a good view of the parade. Thus, someone with a disability should contact the City of Pasadena, Accessibility & Disability Issues Coordinator, Pasadena City Hall, 100 No. Garfield Ave. Room #323 after September 1 each year. They’ll be able to direct you to the area for your special needs.
Return to TopCan we join your Rose Parade tour package program at any time we want to?
Yes! We are set up to have you join us on any day that you wish. If joining us late, you must recognize that you will be missing some of the tours that we offer.
Return to TopCan we just buy grandstand seat tickets only?
No. We are not in the business of “just” selling the grandstand seats. We are in the tour business and want to sell the tour package. You should be contacting the Sharp Seating Co., located at 701 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, if you just want grandstand seats. They are the official grandstand seating company.
Return to TopDo you sell or have access to the Rose Bowl game tickets?
No. We do not become involved with the bowl game tickets. If you secure your own bowl game tickets, we do offer a group transportation package to the bowl game that includes two hotel nights and transportation to and from the game. If you are a group (15+) that has bowl game tickets, we then will arrange a bowl game luxury motorcoach for your group.
Return to TopWhat are the hours on the day of the Rose Bowl Parade — January 1?
We meet in the lobby of a local hotel (Ontario Airport area) at 5:30 a.m. on January 1 to check in, and then depart at approx. 6:15 a.m. We do not return to this hotel until about 5:00 p.m. that same evening.
Return to TopWhat is the weather normally like the day of the Parade — January 1?
After the Christmas holiday you should be watching the national weather channel on your television no matter where you’re coming from. Studies have shown that it only seems to rain on “The Big Day” (Jan. 1) once in 7 or 8 years. Due to the crisp winter weather, we suggest our parade attendees wear layered clothes, along with good walking shoes. As the day warms up, you can begin peeling off your outer layers of clothes.
Return to TopWe understand that you have an R.V. tour package program. Is that correct?
Yes, we do. We have cooperated several years with the KOA Fairplex R.V. Park in Pomona, CA. Included is space rent (4 nights); J. Paul Getty Museum; “Pre-Rose Parade” float viewing & decorating; & a Los Angeles/Hollywood tour; plus, “The Big Day” (January 1).
Return to TopCan we arrive early or can we depart later if we need to?
Yes! You may arrive on any day of your choice and you may also depart on any day of your choice. Of course, your total cost will be based on the number of nights that you stay and the tours in which you participate.
Return to TopWill we need to rent a car while we’re in your tour program?
No!! There will be no need whatsoever to rent a car. We keep you so busy that you won’t have time to go anywhere anyway.
Return to TopWe have relatives/friends nearby — can they join us while we are part of the tour?
Yes! However, advance arrangements are necessary, especially if tickets are involved.
Return to TopIf we can’t fly into the Ontario Airport due to the fact that it’s less costly to fly into another airport, is that o.k.?
Yes! But note that you will have an additional cost of a van shuttle service to get you to where our hotels are located at the Ontario Airport area.
Return to TopOn the first day of the tour (December 28), what time does the “Welcome Reception and Get Acquainted” party begin?
Normally, the party activity begins at 4 p.m. on the first day (December 28). It lasts aboout 45 to 50 minutes, after which time we depart for one of the tour activities. It is best to plan for your arrival and check in at your hotel by 3 p.m.
